Be fruit fly aware - don’t travel into protected areas of Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia with fruit or vegetables! Fixed and random roadblocks operate in protected areas.

Help us keep Fruit Fly out
To help protect fruit and vegetable growing regions in South Australia, northern Victoria and southern New South Wales, areas of these states are protected by the Fruit Fly Quarantine Zone (SA), the Greater Sunraysia Pest Free Area (VIC/NSW).

On the spot fines may be issued. Please note, when entering SA, if you're caught with uncertified fruit or fruiting vegetables you can face fines ranging from $375 to $100,000. Eat the produce or dispose of it in roadside disposal bins before approaching quarantine stations.
